The sprawling southern Rhone, is very different to its famous Northern neighbour. From the famous Galets of Châteauneuf-du-Pape to the craggy limestone peaks of the Dentelles de Montmirail, there is a host of fantastic wines to be found. Join us as we explore the scrubby reds to medium bodied dry whites and even some fuller bodied roses!
We are sure there is something here for everyone!

The region of Valpolicella sits just outside the city of Verona, (think Romeo and Juliet) and is a region that has produced some of Italy’s most famous reds, including the full-bodied, rich, and seductive Amarone. This tasting will introduce you to the different Valpolicella variations, and what makes their flavours and aromas unique. Don't miss out!

Aficionados  as well as those new to whisky will gain a new appreciation of whisky as we look at the process of distillation, how to proof down the whisky in your glass, how to store your collection, and much more.

Some say they make 5% of our wines, but win 95% of our medals. Who knows if that's true or not, but what is true, is that we will have a fantastic line up of wine to taste as we take you on a journey exploring this high quality wine region.

Flag of Spain

Rioja in Northern Spain is best known for berry-scented, barrel-aged red wines made from Tempranillo and Garnacha. It is arguably Spain's top wine region, and certainly the most famous, rivalled only by Jerez.  Rioja really is as age-worthy as the wines of Bordeaux and Burgundy, yet it constantly flies under the radar so join us as well look at this well known region in all its glory!

The proportion of land used for viticulture in France is expansive, and the quality of wine produced is widely acknowledged to be amongst the best in the world.

Our Bordeaux masterclass is a relaxed course broken down into 3x2 hour sessions where you will delve into the production of various styles of wine produced in one of the most famous, and biggest fine regions in the world.

How accurate are you at picking up a fault in your wine?

Join in for this masterclass as we look at the many wine faults found in everyday wines. We will look at the most famous, Cork taint, as well as others you may, or may not have encountered in your wine.

Cancellations and transfers

  • Cancellations and transfers can be made up to two weeks before the event.

  • Cancellations within 5 working days are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another event.

  • If you need to change a name on the booking, please give us as much notice as possible.

  • Melbourne Wine School reserves the right to cancel an event.
    If necessary, a full refund or transfer will be offered.
