WSET Online Courses

Available for the WSET Level 1 and Level 2 Award in Wines

Our WSET online courses cover the same syllabus as our face to face classroom courses, but are online! This gives you the flexibility to learn from home, although you must sit the final exam at our venue.

Course Format:

The Level 1 Award in Wines - Starting June

The course will be taught via the WSET online learning portal. Participants receive an online course study guide and are invited to work through the material at their own pace. You can direct any questions to your online tutor.

To assist your learning, Melbourne Wine School will also host weekly 1-hour webinars over 3 weeks. These webinars are non-compulsory, but are a great way to meet fellow students and discuss any burning questions.

The Level 2 Award in Wines - Starting May 25th

The course will be taught via the WSET online learning portal. Participants will be posted a course study pack, and are invited to work through the material at their own pace. You can direct any questions to your online tutor.

To assist your learning, Melbourne Wine School will also host weekly 1-hour webinars over 4 weeks. These webinars are non-compulsory, but are a great way to meet fellow students and discuss any burning questions.

What Will I Learn? For an overview of the Level 1 and Level 2 Awards in Wines please see their respective course pages. We recommend reading the relevant course specification prior to course commencement.

Webinars: During your online webinars, you will be able to ask your tutor questions and interact with other participants. Your tutor will also be available for questions during virtual 'office hours'.

Assessment: The exam for the Level 1 and Level 2 must be sat in person at our venue in Melbourne, which will be held in the afternoon. For both Awards, on the morning of the exam, we will host a wine tasting session that covers the SAT tasting technique. Please budget 4 hours for the tasting and exam for the Level 1, and 6 hours for the Level 2.

Please note: The final face to face session of all online courses must adhere to any government restrictions in place at the time relating to COVID-19 (e.g. social distancing). As such, we may need to reschedule this session (including the exam) to a time when such restrictions are no longer in place.
