Weekend Cellar Door/Sommelier Staff
About the business:
A family owned winery, Rochford encompasses three vineyard sites, two Cellar Doors, two restaurants, a weddings and functions venue and a huge 12,000 capacity outdoor concert amphitheatre. As one of the premier tourist destinations in the Yarra Valley, we pride ourselves on delivering engaging, personal and very memorable experiences for our customers.
About the role:
We are seeking casual weekend staff to join our Cellar Door team to conduct wine and gin tastings, or to work as Sommelier in our restaurants.
Candidates must have:
- Good wine knowledge and a passion to learn
- Experience in a retail/sales role or bar/sommelier experience
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- A positive disposition and outstanding personal presentation
- Current Victorian RSA
- Previous experience in winery is desirable
Must be available to work on weekends. Additional hours may also be available during our busy times.
Drivers license & reliable car essential as no public transport available.

Little Andorra is seeking a highly motivated staff member with a knowledge of and passion for wine. Part-time or full-time positions available for the right candidate. Our venue has a capacity of 60 guests, including an outdoor parklet, courtyard, and two small private dining rooms in addition to the main bar/dining room. Waiting and bar skills are preferred, however the right attitude and willingness to learn are the most important qualities. We would be willing to train a relative newcomer to the industry.
The venue currently trades Wednesday to Saturday nights, offering a prix fixed menu format with two sittings, and Sunday late lunch shifts with scope to extend to Sunday evenings. Our wine offering is eccentric and every-evolving, currently with a list of about 120 wines with a heavy focus on small producers, minimal intervention wines and rare/unusual varietals. The successful candidate would be welcome to be involved in the wine program to further develop their tasting and interpreting skills.
Award pay rates, no split shifts, no mornings, and an opportunity for expansion of the role to supervision/assistant manager position in the near future.
